When Maggie wouldn't let me cut her nails, and no one in the house seemed to be able to help me without making it worse, one night before I went to sleep, I asked her to show me how to cut her nails in a way that she felt safe and that I could get the nail trimming done.
As I drifted off, she showed me a picture of her tethered to the doorknob so she couldn't pull away, with a muzzle on, a neck gator over her head so she couldn't see, and lots of treats.
So I tried it, and don't you know...it worked!
